To be honest, I really am not 100% sure what is in the cabinet I've been using, but I would assume it's one the Mesa C90's, Black Shadow. I have not ever opened the cabinet up since I bought it used, but I'm sure its stock. Either way, being in the closed-back cab seems to have "warmed" up that speaker because it sounds great to me. Although I'll admit, I'm very easy to please when it comes to a clean tone. I'm more of an overdrive sort of player anyway, and that's where the Mesas work really well for me. I have definitely not experienced any nasal sound whatsoever while using this combination of amp and cabinet.

I've had both (the Raezer's Edge Twin 8 and still use the Corus and the Two Ten. The AI cabinets are way brighter, they are a full range design. My advice would be to check out the AI Two Ten cabinet, it's the best of both worlds, it has a stronger high end plus plenty of balls like a Raezer's Edge.

    Hi guys! Need your advice.
Wanna buy ibanez gb10. Is there any critical disadvantages of this model? Thank you
Or maybe you can offer some alternatives

unfortunately the AI amps have a treble control that is misplaced for guitar. Try an MXR 6 band EQ to see if you can brighten up the sound before switching cabinets.

I would suggest searching the forum as this has been discussed many times; this is a popular guitar to talk about in this group. Jack Zucker has had many of these over the years and has a lot of information about them. I have one that I've had for 34 years. Big Mike From NJ might have had even more Ibanez GB models than Jack, but he doesn't seem to be posting here anymore.

I would also suggest starting a separate thread about it since the main emphasis of this thread is on cabinets. I think you will get better results in a thread with a more apropos title.

    Hi Art,
The GB family of Guitars are GREAT Guitars. They are every bit as iconic as the L5 or 175. George himself is living legend and if he puts his name on it, it has been well thought out and its going to be good stuff.
The GB-10 is capable of the great jazz sound. It is very stage worthy. A solid Guitar. The neck is a bit shallow (depth). A while ago I wasnt too comfortable with this type of neck, now, my hands enjoy its comfort. Most people call it a fast neck. I don't find myself being able to play faster on it than any other guitar. Its just comfortable. For my body type its the perfect size guitar to be able to play standing up with a strap. I've never heard this before and it is just my opinion, but the 3rd screw on the pickguard not only helps adjust the Bridge pickup height, but it also tightens the top which gives it a bit of feedback resistance.
I hope if you get a GB-10 you love it.
    Good Luck.
