I've had two teles only, a G&L Bluesboy semi hollow, which was great... but wasn't my favorite for a 'jazz' tone.... but it was a great guitar
then I got my '52 tele, and it just sounds great for jazz, better than the thinlines i've played... I'd love to try a humbucker equipped tele again
