Chris Mirabella has a flair for artistic design! Aside from the cost of carving a solid top, does having a floating p/up work well enough tonally as opposed to a top mounted humbucker? Thanks, beautiful guitar, please post some audio clips.

It is not what you think it is, no carved top it is a laminate (back is still carved i think). Mirabella also builds an all-carved acoustic version but this one is meat to be electified. and it is not a floating HB either, but top mounted Duncan Alnico II with a custom made cover. The body is fully hollow but there is an extra block of wood underneath the pickup to reinforce the top .

Nice, Frank.
Like the Cedar Creek case, too.
I've never seen the black faux gator before.

Thanks. As mentioned above in the first post, it isnt my guitar though, I only had it shortly. It belongs to one of the Mirabella endorsed players

OK.
Thanks for sharing, in any case.
