I've got some new videos just uploaded, Eastman AR371, Peerless Gigmaster Jazz, Eastman AR403 and an Eastman AR371 we customised with a Bare Knuckle P90. I've found the best way soundwise is to use the DI from the Clarus as it presents the guitar honestly with little or no colouring; in previous videos we used just room sound from the amps but I think this way is better- warts and all!

Nice demos Dan, although there appears to be a problem with the Gigmaster posting - I was able only to watch it on YouTube via your website, but not on the forum. Some nice Joe Pass lines on the 403 demo !

Is the AR403 ever available in a natural finish ?

Great job on the demos-all guitars sound great, but please try re-loading the third video. A demo, even a not so good one, always bests the most articulate & elaborate verbal description of sound. I wish more people posted them. Jeff

    Thanks Dan

Just a quick question, have you used the 371 with the Phil Jones AG100 cub. How does it sound? any chance of a vid?

    These are great videos.

Loved the playing and particularly liked the sound of the 371's in these vids.

    Thanks Dan.
It might be asking too much, but I'd love to hear an A/B of the 371 and 372... just to see if there's a difference.
    Please...

No difference except the versatility that comes with 2 pickups :-)

They're a nice sounding amp, portable and small but not quite as full sounding or as much headroom as a Henriksen. Half the price though!

Eastman initially said that the laminates were only to be in classic or sunburst; I don't think they thought that they'd look good enough in a plain laminate finish. Not sure if they changed their plans yet.

There is an AR371 in Natural at Mairants. Perhaps it was a special order, but I would certainly be interested in either an AR403 or 503 in Natural.
I nearly bought an AR403 a few weeks ago, but really didn't like the Classic finish. Perhaps I just need to keep looking at your video a few more times and I might get to like it !

According to this, they are introducing a standard 371 in a blonde (i.e., natural) finish this year (although I realize that the original question was about the 403), starting at 1:20:

Loud enough for a jam session in the pub?
The amp of choice around here is the AER alpha 40w, how would they compare volume wise?
