The Fat Hawk has become a reality. I placed a custom order for a Jazz model with a P90! Hopefully this will be my Christmas present to myself. Bob .

Yes! I haven't taken any pics, but it's just like images on Ebay. I bought the only natural made at the time. So, currently there isn't one listed on ebay because they haven't made it yet. That's evidence that there made one at a time. Sensitivity to attack, tone, PU's, neck, finish, Nitro and poly, and case are truly amazing at $1850 shipped. Case did smell strong of material used but is fading. I really like Harmonic Design Z90's but am so impressed with these PU's that I am not totally sure I am going to do the switch test. I would love to have 2 hawks and hear both back to back.

Yup! The best bang for the buck out there! The Seventy Seven P90s are one of the best Ive heard. I have a Duncan ALNICO V Stapletop in the neck position on my Stork Jazz 2 but love the tone of the standard ones. Bob

They are great as well. I have two, one with p90s and one with buckers. Both have the same neck profile and comfortable grip. I like the P90 version better myself. The humbucker version is a fine guitar I just like the tone of P90s better. I have to say its probably the best all around guitar Ive heard and played. I listened to a ton of customers play the Stork Jazz and it always sounded lively and articulate regardless of the amp being used. Im hoping the neck profile is the same on the Hawk as the Stork, it should be as all the ones Ive played are the same, except for the Albatross ,but that has different neck joint.

Where did you order your 77's from? I have never seen a Stork Jazz with p90's.

I have a sunburst Fat Hawk guitar, (made by Seventy Seven guitars in Japan) which is a thicker body than the regular Hawk. I would like to sell this guitar to someone who is looking for this kind of jazz guitar. It pretty much is similar in looks to the Gibson ES 175 guitar. This model I own has a single humbucking pickup that has a very nice jazz tone. I ordered it from Eiche, the Seventy Seven dealer who lives in the US. Eiche is Japanese and usually sells on Ebay and thru Facebook. My Fat Hawk has large block inlays, which were specially made for 2 guitars that Eiche had available in US. My guitar is mint, or very close to mint. I think I've had it for one and a half or two years but really don't use it or play it enough to keep it. It's a beautifully made guitar, with a chunky neck but still the neck is comfortable for me to play. If anyone is interested I will gladly send some pictures, preferably I would rather text the photos since they are already on my phone. I mostly play a Sadowsky Jim Hall guitar when I gig so I can't justify keeping this guitar due to the fact I already have two Gibson Byrdlands, and a older Benedetto Fratello from 1989.

    Regards,

    Byron

Hi to everyone, dead thread, but i hope to get an answer
I am intrested in buying Seventy Seven hawk, but i don't really understand where are the new ones made, there is a shop on the official deviser site and two types of guitars are sold, Aska-made series and Japan Tune-up series:
    SeventySeven Guitars | ブランド | Deviser |株式会社ディバイザー|長野県松本市のギターメーカー
    SeventySeven Japan Tune-Up Series | Deviser |株式会社ディバイザー|長野県松本市のギターメーカー

    Japan Tune-up:
    HAWK-STD/DEEP-JT | Deviser |株式会社ディバイザー|長野県松本市のギターメーカー
    Aska-made:
    HAWK-STD | Deviser |株式会社ディバイザー|長野県松本市のギターメーカー

Japan Tune-up are signifficantly lower in price and quite different (bridge, scale, radius, tuners), does it mean that those are made outside of Japan? Are those any good? How do they compare to older ones?

The Japan Tune Up guitars are made in the Philippines, and 'finished' in Japan. I can't say how they compare because I've only played the Japanese guitars, sorry.

Thank you for this. I kept wondering what was up with the cheap Seventy Seven models on Reverb.
