I have an Affinity Strat that I bought for $50, in mint condition (like that matters for a $50 guitar). The guy was a metal drummer who thought he wanted to learn guitar. Evidently, lost interest. The guitar has 6 strings, no fret buzz, medium-high action (cause I'm too lazy to do anything about it), a decent trem and it sits next to me in my office where I can pick it up and play anytime, which I do, a lot. I don't care about humidity or dust or nicks and bangs and I play guitar a lot more often now. I have a few $1000+ instruments in the next room, but I play my strat more often than any of them. Heck, I don't even plug it in to anything, but I can still hear the music. Great way to spend $50.

Flensburger Pils. Skål! The rubber gaskets on the patent bottle caps work great as strap locks (same as Grolsch). We do buy other goods than beer there - but no good guitars in sight. :-)
