Yes. For me, when I use the cushion, my right arm rests partially on the upper bout, so the guitar's not going anywhere. The cushion is not slippery. (Some have complained that the bottom is slippery, meaning that the cushion moved along the player's leg, but the new models have bottoms that don't slip like the old ones did.)

Just received mine a few days ago from the Twelfth Fret in Toronto. I'm really starting to like it, I'm more relaxed and my right hand gets along much better, both for picking and using hybrid with fingers and pick. I'm around 6 ft 1 and using the small version on my right thigh. I'm using a L4 CES (175 body shape). I had gotten out my long forgotten classical footstool after reading this thread and liked that as well but not as much as the Dynarette cushion and I also had some back pain after a long practice session with the footstool, so this cushion looks like the way to go for me.

Glad to hear it! I have the large version but notice that I keep the guitar over the rear edge of the cushion. (The rear edge is at least an inch lower than the front edge---the cushion top is sloped.) I wonder if that's equivalent to the top edge of the smaller cushion. If I had to do it over again, I think I'd order the small, but the large will do.

The small one is sloped quite a bit too. By the sounds of it, they cover similar ground. I tried it with a strat and a flat top acoustic at a rehearsal recently and it works great for both, but I would imagine the strat would benefit from the larger cushion. I'm very happy with mine so far.

A month (or so) in, I'm still sold on this thing. I've made a few adjustments in how (-where) I situate the guitar atop the cushion and think I've settled onto the right way for me. I don't want to think about going without it!

Yeah I'm the same with the neck up...feels like crap to play without it now.

Someone let me try out the large cushion last week... probably won't use my footstool anymore after mine arrives in the mail.

Me too. My playing is much cleaner with it.

I'm happy to hear several people have found the cushion useful. I play much cleaner with it. (Part of me wishes I had had one years ago but the grown-up in my head says, "Be grateful you have one now." I am.)
