Is it just me or does the guy contradict himself throughout the whole thing? He demonstrates quarter-sawn is a lower frequency, then says it's higher, and says he'd never put it on the lighter guitar. Huh?

Once I had picture of Glen Campbell back in his session player days. He worked on a friend album and they said he just showed up to the studio with a tele handing off his back no case no nothing. Then plugged in laid down some great solos on the album.

I stumbled on this:
PT Berger Guitars - Olde Stockdale
Its a flame maple top chambered guitar with two f holes. It looks interesting and apparently can be had shipped with a nice gig bag for $499.
Anyone ever play one?

Acoustic sound of the Telecaster? You mean the little clicky-clicky sound? It's not like we're talking about a hollow-body here. But who am I to take issue with Ted Greene?

Finally got that chambered mahogany Tele with CC I'm the neck. Sweet! It gets jazz tones but it handles rock real well, too.

I own a telecaster 72 custom. My brother has been babysitting it the past couple years since I dove back into jazz. It has a stock humbucker in the neck. I only ever used it for playing rock. Would this be a suitable ax for playing jazz? Can any tele be genre-switched or does it take certain hardware?
I'd love advice on this. I might have to call in the lost sheep.

Put on some TI flatwounds, roll back the tone, fiddle with the amp tone stack and ... done.
Your back and body will thank you

[Waking an "Olde" thread.]
I played a PT Berger "Metropolitain" series guitar today. Actually I played both in this series. The only reason I did not walk away with the instrument in hand is because I am an Atkins/Travis style picker and the style simply requires two pickups. I found the craftsmanship, design, and appointments exquisite. For me the neck was a dream neck: a generous 1-11/16" with a slimmish profile. The fretwork was immaculate, the action great, and the intonation spot-on. If it had had two PUPs, I would not be writing this little note until later; I would be playing the guitar! It is an outstanding instrument. Here's a working link to the entire line (scroll way down for the Metropolitains):
