Your Epi ES 295 should be too bling for me ........
but I really like the aesthetic of that
Reminds me of a Gibson 295 I should've bought ,many years ago
Amazingly comfortable neck/guitar and sounded great
but the finish was crazed to hell and back !
it happens with 295s
But a new(ish ) Epi 295 with white dog-ears and maybe (even the bigsby) would be lovely

I've owned and been impressed with Korean
Emperor Regent
Joes Pass
Sheraton
Dots...not as much.
Have also REALLY loved
1953 NY Zephyr Deluxe Regent
...which I wish I still had

Hi Guys,
Just joined the forum and came across this thread regards the Epiphone's and I have a 1984 Matsumoku Emporer F model with gold pickups, abolone, mother of pearl etc... all the usual refinements and plays like a dream.
Apologies for 'hijacking' the thread but thought you may be interested as this is an antique sunburst model aswell ?
Cheers,
Col

>the mental tail piece had fatigued
Great typo. I suffer from mental fatigue too
But jokes aside, I have posted it here a dozen times and I will post it again. There is no need to replace a broken tailpiece
Luthiers / guitar shops are clueless in these situations and will always tell you the only way is to replace.
But any brass instrument (saxophone) shop can weld and replate a brass tailpiece. That is where you should go. Much nicer to keep your vintage guitar original + very cheap repair + your good to go again for another 50 yearsLast edited by fws6; 01-25-2013 at 11:05 AM.

Does anyone hear own a Howard Roberts Custom? If so, how about some pictures and feedback.
