Hm, - I know you guys in the US are much into Fender amps. And no doubt they are nice amps. Personally I´m not too impressed by the RI´s and by all means they are overpriced (in EU anyways where I live).

Try a Brunetti Singleman if you have the opportunity. It is an Italian handmade amp that sounds awsome, - very much like Fenders used to and then with some modern tweaks added. Two versions, a 16 and 35 watt. Both can be switched to half power and futher down to 1 watt. There you have gigging with a drummer, rehearsal and bedroom. All power settings sound great.

Could not find soundfiles including jazz, but check this guy anyways:

Besides that Premier Guitar Mag gave the Brunetti a Year Award for this year. Here is a link to their full review: Brunetti Singleman Amp Review - Premier Guitar

Admitted, - I own the 35 watt myself. I changed the stock Vintage 30 speaker to a Warehouse ET65. This is toneheaven.

Oh, - and the link to the PG Award; http://www.premierguitar.com/Magazin...ds.aspx?Page=4
