Sorry for the bump... I lost track of this thread... Just curious to hear if you ever purchased it or found out more about it?

hey, sorry for the silence and thanks for asking! I didn't take this one, even if it sounded very well, there were too many inconsistencies. I waited a few weeks and I won a auction on eBay for a post-lawsuit Ibanez 2355M. It is in a very good shape (some bumps as you can see on the photos), I got it for 1100euros. Not a steal, but still a very correct price compared to what I have seen before on the internet.
So I am very happy with it, plays wonderfully! Thanks everyone for helping!

No matter how enamored you are with a guitar you have to look at any purchase and remember SOME DAY you will likely want to flip it - in english sell it (more than likely to get another guitar you just HAVE TO HAVE).
So try to keep that in the back of your mind when looking. Things that would turn off a prospective buyer:
no label inside
no serial number
no clear demarkation of the brand
apparent mods or repainted areas
no original case
no clear catalog shots of the model backing up what year it was made and by who
Good luckLast edited by BigMikeinNJ; 03-28-2012 at 02:32 PM.

Very wise words, thanks. This is what I learned during my hunt for this one: never ever do any irreversible modifications on your guitar, if it is worth anything. Even if they improve the playability, they almost always make the price go down.
