Sorry to revive this ancient thread, but how do you deal with the pickguard and wiring when installing or removing the plug on the treble side?

That's what I feared, doesn't make it a viable alternative to a flattop "bung" ...

There’s enough room under my pickguard to slide it in, no need to take it off. It’s a bit fiddly but it goes.

But I usually use only one plug at the bass side, which helps enough to prevent feedback in most cases.
