Anybody in here know anything about capacitors, something that could mellow that JB out. Right now I don't have my guitar to see whats in it now. Its at a luthier getting tweak out. I should get it back Friday.

The cap will not change the sound of the PU. It just effects the curve of the roll off, full open and full closed are the same for all tone controls, it's just how much at different increments that changes.

I've gotta say I love GFS pickups, I'm a Duncan player through and through, but I got into GFS Liverpool Vintages and dang if I don't get the most "What IS that pickup?" comments. They happen to be embarassingly cheap too.
Granted I put them into a semi hollow, and your sound will be different but for bridge I like both SD Custom or GFS Vintage. There's only one way to know what's right...

I assume you want a more well-rounded response. The JB is really hot, the '59 is like a PAF. Duncan has a ton of info on his site that lets you compare pickups and hear sound clips. If you like the '59 neck pup, you may just need a 59 for the bridge. I'm happy with mine.
