Best budget hollowbody guitar (under $1000)

I’m looking for a hollowbody jazz guitar under $1000 and am wondering what are some of the best ones for the jazz tones of guys like Wes and Joe Pass. I play solo guitar, only use the neck pickup, and prefer a thinner neck.

It seems like the Joe Pass emperor and Ibanez AF guitars are popular, but there aren’t any stores around me that have them in stock so I’m curious on what they are actually like.

I like the Epiphone ES175 Premium. But it's an entirely subjective decision, and you may not like what I like. I don't know that they're still available new, but can be found used. If you buy used, make sure the pickups are original. The Premium came with Gibson 57 Classic humbuckers, and they're often stripped and sold, replaced by whatever cheap pickup was on hand.

It’s impossible to find a guitar under $1k that’s better than the Epiphone ES175 Premium. It’s as close to a Gibson ES175 at the price that one will find. Case closed.Here’s mine

There’s a Peerless Gigmaster Jazz for sale for $1000 on the forum right now. Those are quite nice.

I had both the Epi 175 Premium and the Peerless Gigmaster, the latter was significatly better in every way.
