Just got this. It plays and sounds fantastic. It definitely has the D’Aquisto vibe and is a cannon acoustically with tons of natural reverb. It has that Murphy lab / VOS vibe going on and he uses water based lacquer so those are my 2 complaints as a prefer new and shiny perfection like a Campellone. Otherwise this guitar has a very unique tone and a very comfortable size. These guitars cater to the working man’s player and deliver that Joy Spring tone in spades.

Congratulations Vinny! Santa delivers! She’s a beautiful guitar. That’s always been one of my favorite finishes! I hope you play the heck out of all your guitars!

A great guitar but for over $6K and me being anal I would have liked a better lacquer job but I will learn to embrace this VOS fad.

Congratulations on a nice guitar! I’ve debated on getting one of his small Les Paul size instruments.
As far as finishes, I’m fine with worn,it’s more the vibe it has as well as tonality and neck shape.

I totally agree. It has a vibe and tone like no other laminate.
I would love to try a Trenier laminate to compare.
A great laminate can rival a very good carved archtop.

Congratulations! I have a Borys B-160 and I play it nearly as much as I play my Campellone! Great sounding and playing guitars. Enjoy!

If I had to only own one guitar, this would be the one. Enjoy!

I'm always amazed at how easy it is to draw a beautiful unamplified tone from my B-120.

    Well done, superb guitar.

I remember Manchester guitarist Mike Walker having a Borys B120, a great sounding guitar, especially in Mike Walker's very talented hands.

Hold on a durn minute! Deja vu! Deja deja vu vu! This proves that we are living in a simulation! There is a break in The Matrix! Didn't Vinny just get a B120, have the tailpiece goldplated and all shiny, have the lacquer waxed up and FIXXED, and then sell it on for $4200?

Wind back the tape. I can't take these temporal loops! Where's Morpheus ? Neo? Hello? Hello? Phone it in. Take the red pill and wake me up because I swear the tailpiece will soon be going to Advanced Plating to get goldplated and all shiny, shiny, the lacquer is gonna get FIXXED, and Vinny is gonna give it a name...

I am sure I said it once before so I think I am gonna say it again: Congratulations on your new-old-new Borys B120. Play her in good health.

It's Deja vu all over again.

I’m glad you said that. For a minute I thought I’d imagined that whole episode, and that I needed to talk with a professional!

And I'm glad you said that! I went thru the same when this was first posted. I was about to search this out to figure out what the heck was going on. Now I don't have to!

Better luck this time Vin! I'm still totally in love with mine.

    Yo bro.
I really love the color. And the natural wood binding too.
That’s good news about the acoustic power it has.
It really is a gorgeous guitar and I’m happy for you bro.

It is beautiful, mate. The wabi-sabi-ness of it. I love the hammered patina of the tailpiece; you have a lovely one there, much better hammered than the one on mine. What's a little bit of checked lacquer or two but to better open up the soul of the guitar? Play "Isn't She Lovely?" pour moi.

Roger isn't answering my emails. I guess I must be on his shitelist or something. I gave him a bit of trouble over a Hiscox case that was misdelivered by Musician's Friend-damn MoFers sent him a Dean case instead.

    I'd really love to have a B160 or B165.

A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to y'all. Stay safe!

Vinny's playing with a full deck. And that is when he gets dangerous. Watch out now, fellas.

Whatever you wanna to do to the B120 next keep us apprised and regaled.

You do you, Vinny. You always do.
