Not mine, but here is George Gobel’s Super 400 being played by legendary bassist Nathan East.

Another one showed up today... but no JAZZ will be played on this one!

I hope he took his shoes off, well, at least his right one!

The Marty McFly signature edition?

Having spotted this on Ebay I could not resist; I've been fancying an offset body guitar for a while.
Sadly, I suspect it will not assist me in sounding anything like Joe Pass.

Yes!

The Super 400 photo reminded me of one I overlooked, although it's hard to overlook a red S400.
'94 Gibson Super 400C Custom:
A fabulous guitar.

Had to think hard about what I have today. Best I could come up with for all red.
The story behind the 67 Custom Shop Flying V is that my first Gibson was a 1970 Medallion Flying V. It had had a hard life, Grovers fitted, pickup covers lost, pickup rings added, finish and pickguard seriously discoloured, case lost. Plus some spec issues I didn’t like. At that time for a while Gibson decided on a 90 degree neck pitch which felt really strange to play and there was no vibrola like on Andy Powells guitar. I wouldn’t thank you for another one of those. I bought this to make up for it. It is now aging nicely. Only issue is the bizarre one off choice of nickel hardware so I’m thinking of getting correct chrome pickup covers, bridge and vibrola to finish it. It’s featherweight and sings like a bird.
The Lonnie Mack V was bought from Gary’s Classic in Cincinnati (where else). It is made with all of the construction details and joints that the custom shop 58 reissues have and is a monster guitar - thicker 50s body with a monster thick neck. It is a little heavier and I’m guessing if the scrap metal was removed it’s inherently a light guitar.Last edited by Rograt; 10-25-2025 at 06:19 AM.

Sold the amp, still have the guitar. Amp looked super cool, sounded good, but I have others I liked better.
-
Not at all shabby, my friend! That’s some serious guitar history and very cool.

Hamer. I don’t know how to rotate photo but it’s red.

Lighting, camera, focus, reflections, shaky hands...but fairly close approximation.

My baby guitar substitute.
Custom build from UK,
pickups by Steve Ryder, here.

This Dean guitar is very red! Picked it up recently for $130, in very good condition and sounds good. Has some nicks but no fretware, a short in the output jack, needs a set-up, so really a no-brainer at that price. Believe it's an older model, made in Korea.

Ibanez GB15TR resting after an evening workout.

Gibson ES355 "Lucille", the guitar I lusted after as a 12 year old, that finally arrived 60 years later. :-)
