This one sounds interesting, haven't heard it:
Roy Clark & Joe Pass Play Hank Williams | AllMusic

The Roy and Joe record is a real album, and of course it's pretty much what you'd expect from 2 masters of the fretboard.

The JP Stones album is, uh, not great. It comes across as lower-shelf CTI stuff, with hackneyed arrangements that even Joe's guitar can't rescue. If you like hearing Joe with a little "dirt" on his tone, you might like this one. Stylistically, he reminds me of George Benson on the top-shelf CTI records, where he played Beatles' songs and other pop songs of the day.

Take a deep breath, and listen to this:

The Joe Pass Roy Clark album is the last record Pass made i believe. He was sick with cancer at the time but you could never tell because his playing was just terrific on that recording.

As tears go by, is really great. We played when it came out in my first band for free admission to the public pool and free hamburgers! Had my first slow dance with a dream gal (around 12yrs old) to it also. If wed have heard Pass's instrumental we probably would have fallen asleep, now I just put in my "favorites" rotation. Havent listened to the Stones in decades...dont miss it at all
