I hesitated to raise mine, with Strat p/up caution in mind, but then I said, "what the hell, I can always lower it back down".
I raised it almost to the point of touching the strings ( with a space for safety! ). I liked the response. I haven't lowered it yet.
I may just make myself happy with it this way, and play on.

Just did that too my bridge. Couple shows this week. We'll see how it plays out!

I can def state right now that this is the best neck humbucker I've ever used. The level of sensitivity to my pick attack...I use a metal fingerpick, and it catches all the many inflections of it. It is absolutely superb.
I'll have a final decision on the bridge after next weekend but I gigged last night. Long story, rhythm man had amp problems so a couple of his gear buddies came to the rescue. Them, and one other player who was in the audience seemed to really love the tone. Was just setting the Twin on 3 and cranking up the gain on a blue note. Owner loved it, and said "it's great you guys are making some noise, it helps get people in". I told him if he's okay with it I can get a LOT louder LOL so looks like I'll be able to hit 4-5-6 on the vol next go around. Audience was enjoying it from the get go and wound up with a couple Ben Franklins in the tip bucket before the night was over. I'ma get it payed off in short order (I hope) haha.

Nice one! The ES-335 is a beast. Along with the Tele, a true Swiss army knife of a guitar.
