Eastman Jazz Elite 16-6 vs. AR503CE vs. AR480CE

Eastman has use different pickups in the AR503CE.

Older ones used the Kent Armstrong designed HPAG-1.

Newer ones come with the SD Seth Lover pickup.

You still liking your 480? Can I ask how the unplugged sound is? I know it won't be loud, but I'm curious if it is pleasing and maybe if the guitar gives you that thing where the back vibrates a lot against your chest as you play.

I do still enjoy the 480, although I recently picked up a Comins GCS-16-1 that is currently taking up most of my playing time. As for the 480, the unplugged sound is decent, not quite as good as the Comins though they are both all laminate instruments. Both have a robust sound, I might give the nod to the Comins for neck comfort and I really like the pickup in it, but if I didn't come by the Comins, I would be (and still am) very pleased with the 480.
