She's purdy!

Nice looking FG100, especially with the birds-eye maple top.
Also it appears to have been modified with GB10 tailpiece, sure-grip knobs and bridge parts.
-
Shure grip knobs have been standard on a FG100.

Also, the metal parts have been changed from chrome to gold.

The tailpiece appears to be a Gb 100, as well as the base of the bridge.

It looks like a modded FG100, cause Ibanez doesn't do custom orders....

Yes, I think the same, but surely because of a very good Luthier, there are no signs of modification
-
But they’ve embellished many production and prototype guitars for NAMM shows over the years. I got a few such instruments from Harry Rosenbloom in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s. So this could have been a show demo.

Are you sure about that? I am 99% positive that Stephen Bruner (aka Thundercat)'s Ibanez 6-string bass was originally a one-off custom order, and it was only due to popular demand* that Ibanez gave it the TCB1006 model number and added it to their catalog.

I love the FG100, and customized mine pretty good. I think this is IMO the workhorse of jazz guitars from Ibanez...
Cheers,

I later confirmed that with an Ibanez rep I encountered at a music store. having said that, they do make "one-off" guitars that I have seen over the years... I'm sure they will take a custom order from one of their big name artist.

Thanks!!

Unfortunately, I confirmed a suspicion: the guitar is very poorly fretted.the frets are crooked! It seems that the damage was caused by an Argentine luthier. I'm receiving information.
