I noticed this Borys for sale at Schoenberg Guitars in Tiburon, CA. This is the carved top model.

Looks like a "big bottom" girl!

I had seen the guitar for sale a long time ago. It pretty much completely validates the fact that Gibson wins in the long run. I don't know how is sounds but it could be a real winner, but these luthiers made guitars simply cannot maintain in sell off. At 19 inches it makes it even more out than normal. It is a guitar that regardless of how well in plays and sounds might be worth $5k to the right person. I have not played many Borys guitars, but Roger has the skill to make fine guitars.

19"
Holy smokes!
I'd feel like I had an upright bass across my lap!

Roger's favorite is D`Angelico, not D`Aquisto, even though he studied with Jimmy.
The B420 that I played at his shop is the only guitar that I've played that sounds so much like a D`A, that I literally had a flashback to playing my first guitar teacher's D`A when I played that guitar.
I\m a small guy, so I bought his B-120 and his Jazz Solid, but if I were a big guy, I'd buy that B420 in a second.

Once dubbed "The Vermonster" - made in his Vermont workshop years ago .... Must be a true note cannon !

Yeah, when I told him I had a flashback to my guitar teacher's D'A, he froze for a second, and said, "That's the greatest compliment I've ever received'.

So depressing though. I was 18 when this guitar was built. This is the first thing I’ve seen of this age being described as “vintage”.
man, time goes fast.
