    Dropping this to $1700!

This is one of several new guitars I bought in the beginning of this year which I am now liquidating due to a layoff. This guitar is flawless and in showroom condition. Plays great, feels great, sounds great and this Avalanche was a surprising color - in some online images it looks like stark white, but in person it's a very light gray and in person it's absolutely gorgeous! I recently saw a car in this Avalanche color too - really cool (can't remember what car it was, though).

As far as fit and finish, this is on par with the Suhr Classic T I had. Estimated right at or just below 8 lbs.

This and your Yamaha would be quite the pair to have in the stable.

They are equally amazing instruments. Unfortunately, I have to pay the mortgage on said stable.

This models neck/fingerboard specs (width and radius) are unique for a Fender Telecaster, aren't they?

yes. 10-14” radius, c-d shape profile. It’s a great profile for chord work and single note melody/ soloing. Well-rounded fretboard edges. Satin finish is smooth and fast. It’s a very easy neck to play and not super skinny but not a cumbersome baseball bat.

I have one of these and it is a really nice guitar. I was surprised by the compound radius fretboard in that it's very comfortable and you don't even notice the change. The neck is very stable and you can drop the action down very low. This model is probably the closest Fender gets to Suhr quality without the higher price. I'm surprised this is still available.

This is accurate. I have to agree with everything you said.

And now at this price it would be ridiculous if it didn’t sell.
