Up for sale is a 1970s Aria L-1000C, a well-made Japanese archtop from the Matsumoku era.
This is a 17" full-depth laminate archtop with a long scale (25.5) and Super 400-style headstock. The top, back, and sides are laminate; it has plenty of thunk while still feeling snappy from the long scale.
For context, it’s very similar in dimesnions to a Gibson Tal Farlow (this is a bit deeper I believe), but at a much more accessible price point. I’ve also owned a Tal and would be happy playing either instrument.
Condition
Good vintage condition with typical wear for its age:
- Binding shows some cracking in places (cosmetic, stable)
- Finish wear under the bridge — appears a previous owner glued the bridge down, and removal caused some finish chipping
- General light playwear and patina
- Structurally solid
Frets are in excellent shape and were recently polished.
Playability / Setup
- Currently strung with LaBella 15–56 flatwounds
- Comfortable, clean-playing setup
- Feels right at home with heavier strings
Specs / Features
- 17" full-depth laminate body
- 25.5" scale
- Laminate spruce top. I believe maple laminate back/sides
- Multi-bound body and headstock
- Traditional F-holes
- Made in Japan (Matsumoku, 1970s)

Thank you?

Hi Antonio. Thank you for the offer, but I can't ship internationally.

Hi! I would like to ask why you can't ship it? Shipping is easy with international mail. You have to pack the guitar well. I have already sent several guitars to America.
A very special NGD: a custom build that brought my ideas to life.
