Well I am looking for a Super 400 acoustic but this one does not fit the bill. While it could very well be a killer guitar I don't want to have explain all the stuff it if I have to sell it or my heirs. That seems to be the key in the process too. Gibson's do not normally need neck reset on their high quality archtop guitars so that is unusual. A replacement fingerboard and the rest says stay away away.

Yes, seems like an astronomical price considering.....

Condition Notes: Professionally re-finished, previously replaced fretboard, repaired heel, plugged jack holes on treble side lower-bout, repaired top cracks near bass-side F-hole. Binding repaired and neck reset by our shop.

Elderly Instruments? - No kidding.....I consigned a 175 to them, back in the '80's, and dealt with ' Frog ' ?.....Not bad guys at all...... I sure lost track of them, and never heard them mentioned here very often.........Have they been continually in business , and or did they change owners ? Just curious, I guess........

    TIA

Elderly soldiers on. You’ve just been very out of touch.

All old acoustic guitars can use a neck reset eventually. I'll take a guitar that has had its neck reset by a reputable over a guitar that hasn't any day. I've had Elderly do neck resets for me and also folkway music. Also all the other items mentioned in the above add add to the value of the instrument, not detract from it. Unless your just a collector and value something that is original and mint. If you're going to play the instrument. Who cares?

BTW, yes, seems pricey, but, crazy prices are everywhere these days. I don't understand it.

FWIW, I might be selling my Super 300 if you're interested.

Yeah, I'm there often. Repairs, consignments, purchases, etc.
