Aw, c’mon guys - you’re over-reacting to a little patina. Its condition is described as “used”. The definition of “used” is quite clearly stated in the post:

”An item that has been used previously. The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear, but is fully operational and functions as intended. ”

It looks like it will move the canoe across the lake!
