Here we have a fully functional combo amp from the 1970s. It’s a Polytone 102 with reverb, vibrato, bright and dark switches, two channels, and in good condition. Comes with a brown fender cover. Sports the better looking pre-80s silver grill with plush red outline Polytone plaque. All intact.

this is the 12 inch configuration and located in DFW if anyone local wants to check it out. It really is something. It’s more versatile than a lot of Polytones and really can go from dark smoky jazz to bright blues and rock. My reverb ad has a YouTube video with Joe Pass playing this model. He toured with this model and was the original reason I bought it. I loved his sound at that period. But a quick YouTube search of the model you will hear people playing blues rock and funk. I can see why George Benson signatured his own model of Polytones.

for JGF will sell for $599 plus I’ll split shipping. 35-37lbs so local sale would be ideal but happy to ship

    Just a moment...

    Polytone Model 102 1970s with Reverb/Vibrato
Looks just like mine but every model 102 I've seen has one 12" with two 8" speakers, yours has just one 15" speaker and no 8" speakers?

    Here's a 1x12", 2x8" 102: 1970’s Polytone 102 1x12 Jazz Guitar Combo Amp

Many thanks Mick and got that updated. It’s in fact a 12 no duel 8s. Here is a cool pic of the back open and how clean it is

People have also asked no hums or buzzing and tested all four inputs. There is some slight volume knob scratches but very light upon my testing. Going to work in some contact cleaner.

I didn't know they made them without the 8" babies, however, apparently there is such a critter as a Polytone 102 with one 15" & two 8" speakers, see: Rare Polytone 102 - Jefs Tube Amp Blog

Wish I could say that about mine, suspect it needs new capacitors. It must be much older than yours, it's serial number is: 1216.

Serial number is 18419. I also don’t think this one’s gotten too many hours played on it.
