The US Supreme Court has been dragging their feet regarding the legality of Trump's tariffs. This notwithstanding, I made a pilot shipment to USA yesterday. While the four unloaded Metro GPs are still en route to Brooklyn, we already know about the recipient's charges. In this case, assuming the 15% EU tariff, the UPS processing charge appears to be a modest 14$ per parcel. If this is a fixed charge, a Metro 6.5GP+ would end up costing around 350$ to a Forum member, shipping included. That's almost identical to the EU MSRP of 299€.
Do we have a Braveheart willing to try?

Hi,
I am interested to know more. What speaker will these have? And where would they be available once the land in the US?
Thanks!

I believe "unloaded" means no speaker.

Please visit the toob.fi website for technical and price info. The SICA and Jensen speakers I'm using on guitar cabs are made in Italy, so all main components and work originate in EU and qualify for the relatively low 15% EU tariff. Of course I hope to see the Supreme Court ruling against these arbitrary, off-the-cuff trade barriers. And, knowing Trump, the uneasy status quo may any time escalate into a trade war.
If you use the website's contact form, please write in JGO or Forum for the 15% discount for members. The form does not always work, so you may also want to fire an e-mail direct to [email protected].
Cheers,
Markku
