I bought this Sadowsky Jim Hall Model new in October of 2024 from CR Guitars in Rhinebeck, New York. I am moving to smaller quarters and having to reduce down to two guitars; an acoustic and an electric six string that is yet to be determined. Age deals a funny hand. I had intended on this being a forever item.
This guitar is in never played condition. I have been ill with back issues and unable to play. You could not find a cleaner guitar other than picking it up in NY at Rodgers shop. Comes with the hard case and extra bridges that accommodate differing strings and setups.
I am not sure if I have sold any other of my guitars here but I have a stellar rating on Reverb: Just a moment...
I have also been a member of this forum since 2008.
The following is from the Sadowsky site relative to this guitar for sale.
After Jim Hall’s irreplaceable D’Aquisto guitar became too valuable to gig with, he and Roger Sadowsky spent two years prototyping to come up with the Jim Hall Sadowsky archtop.
Roger Sadowsky had maintained Jim’s guitars since 1982. Roger and Jim began to collaborate on a Sadowsky model and were committed to the idea that this would have to be a guitar that Jim would want to play, not just endorse. The Sadowsky Jim Hall Guitar met all of Jim’s requirements as a player.
Roger reduced the thickness of the top and back to provide a more acoustic response, reduced the depth of the body to control feedback, designed a new ebony tailpiece with a string ground, and shaped the neck until it met Jim’s specifications. The single Sadowsky humbucker is a PAF-style pickup that provides the classic sound of an electric archtop.
Incorporating Roger’s sense of aesthetics and design, the result is a beautiful looking, feeling, and sounding guitar that has been enthusiastically received by Jim Hall and many other players worldwide.
Jim passed away on December 10, 2013 and we honor his memory with every Jim Hall Model we produce.

Hey man hope all is well.
I love the Sadowsky you have for sale. I noticed you still want to have an electric guitar but you’re not sure which one. Well…I have a few that I would be willing to trade, with a bunch of cash for the Sadowsky. Not all of them mind you, but one, or whatever. I live in the Los Angeles area, and perhaps we can discuss this a bit more.

Bobby mentioned trades but I am not really looking for that. Thank you all.

I realize I'm a bit late to find this listing, but since there's no obvious indication it's been sold, I thought I'd reach out. If still available, please send a message to 831 227-9949 or reply to [email protected]
Thanks, Richard S.
