Hi all, as title says, I was wondering if D’Angelico ever made a 19” archtop.
and in addition, what are some of the more well-known examples in history other than Stromberg?
thanks!

this is the only one I'm aware of, formally of the Chinery collection. I saw it in person at a guitar show but like most of the collection was unplayable. too bad as I had known about it for years prior and was really looking forward to giving it a test drive

Dig a little and you'll probably find a few more.

yes i owed a Cutaway 1953 granted it measure 18 3/4 but close enough to 19. Way bigger than my 18 inch right up next to it. He is a 33 year old picture. Note I am 6'2" and the bare guitar on wall in Bill Hollenbeck's shop, is a 17. This was a monster and very wide too at over 3 1/2.
