I've been scratching my head at this listing on Reverb for a while ...
Gibson ES-335 Studio 2013 | Reverb
It has a single F-hole between the bridge and stop tail piece. Could it actually have come this way from the factory, or is this just some home-brew weirdness?

Wait, did they cut out a section of the block then?
It looks like it has a mustache.
I hate it.

Home mod, along with the terrible rattle-can respray.

Nice custom work right there. Lol

All true, but on the other hand it comes with a strap.

I wrote to the seller, and this is his response:
“The previous owner sent the guitar to the Gibson factory in Nashville to have the F hole made. With this, a wonderful resonance was achieved in this guitar!! . Despite its strange appearance, it is a great guitar with a very clean sound, all its parts are original Gibson. Thanks for your interest.”
I’m having trouble seeing Gibson doing this.

And the most obvious/hideous modification wasn’t even mentioned in the ad (as if a buyer wouldn’t notice). The electronics have been modified as well.

I'm sure that F-hole really contributes to the resonance.

So this is a Studio Model? I would think with such mods it would be a lot less money than the asking price. I paid $1400 for a black
ES-339 Studio model 8 years ago.
