Simple question for which I haven't been able to find an answer since Krivo isn't responding to emails til next month; are humbuckers splittable? One other detail I haven't been able to find is the footprint dimensions. I'm mainly concerned with the length (north/south) dimension.

Which pickup are you looking at? I have the chrome humbucker for resonator guitar and that one is 2 7/8” by 1 9/16”

I have an older Krivo humbucker (Djangobucker) and I do not believe it is splittable.

I’m looking at the Micro-Stealth PAF HB. Your measurements will most likely suffice. Thanks.

The problem with that IMHO is that most split humbuckers sound awful. There are a couple of reasons for that. One is that the output is now half of what it was and the other is that the single coil is now going through 500K potentiometers and a .022 capacitor.
Lindy Fralin has a wiring diagram to "split" a humbucker using a resistor, so that only part of the second coil' signal is shunted to ground. This keeps some hum canceling and maintains a hotter output so you don't have the huge volume drop. IMHO it sounds much better than the typical split humbucker.

I prefer the tone of the two coils in a humbucker wired in parallel (compared to split) but in this case the DCR is 1/4 of the regular HB.
