Hi, Any thoughts on this? The prior versions used to be actual battery powered, requiring multiple AA batteries. Apparently, this version has an internal chargeable battery. How long does it last per charge? How do people find the tone?
I own a Bose S1 as my portable battery powered amp, but it’s much larger. Thinking of something MUCH smaller, and this came up in my search? Any thoughts here? Thanks

I can't speak to the battery powered version, but I can talk about the tone of these in general--I've been using a THR 10ii for a few years now as my day to day practice amp, and I've been very happy with it.
Just about every plugged in video I've posted here since 2020 has been through the THR. It has a lot of features and sounds that I'll probably never use, but it has great cleans, and my favorite sounds-- the just slightly not so clean sound of 50's recordings. It also handles acoustic guitars nicely.
The 10 has enough volume to fill a small room. It's not a performance amp, but it sounds bigger than a lot of small amps because it spreads the sound out more like a higher quality Bluetooth speaker--it's not as "directional" as a normal small guitar amp. I would think the 30 could handle the "solo coffee house gig" type of volume. The 10 maybe could.
The thing I really like about it is that when playing with a backing track, the guitar sound blends in really nicely with the track. It doesn't sound like "guitareoke," but more like my guitar is actually part of the mix. Again, I think this is due to the speaker design being more like a music speaker and less like just a "guitar" speaker.
Overall, I'd highly recommend it...definitely the best practice amp I've ever owned...if I could go back and change one thing, I'd have gotten the wireless version so I could use it outdoors (That's what I bought the Spark Go for, but it is not nearly as good sounding as the THR or even my old Microcube (RIP)...but it's also smaller than most guitar pedals, so...)

About 4+ hours after full charge.

I have the THR11130 and love it.
Someone on here put up a clip some time ago and said that he used a THR
on the Bass setting.
One of the juiciest, fat but clear and clean jazz sound I ever heard.
This would have been around 2020 and we were selling up our house and moving to an apartment.
Took myself off to the local Yamaha dealer, plugged in my GB10[SE] and engaged the bass setting.
There was that sound!
They're a bit pricey but I tried some of the basic effects that I might use. Hall reverb good, spring OK.
Chorus, once in a blue moon, quite pretty, delay good.
But really it's a no brainer, with the 5 amp types, each with 3 sub-settings.
Excellent cleans available and everything from that to flat out scream...I'll take mine clean or just a hair of breakup.
Mine lives on my desk and although the sound is excellent through the speakers and plenty loud if you want, my most usual
situation involves playing while listening through a decent fairly flat response headphones.
The features go on and on ....battery power lasts well when I do move to a different location.
I got the Line 6 Relay G10 wireless unit. Works great...offers more freedom.
Only thing I'd wish it had is Bluetooth out for headphones....but I've used the Bluetooth in for playing with
tracks, learning new stuff and also it's become my private listening device.
Makes everything [well practically everything] sound better.
And of course you can do quite a bit of sound editing via the Bluetooth, which I generally do on my phone.
Check out the manual online so you can see what's on offer.
And it will give you a head start when you buy one.
......Because once you try it, you very likely will buy it.

I've got the THR 10ii-c. An older model they don't make anymore. It's great. I can plug it into an AC outlet, but I almost always run it on batteries for carry-around convenience. It's not wireless, so I can't comment about that. I need a standard guitar cable to jack in. The batteries do seem to last a really long time.

There’s a lot of factors when it comes to volume: volume knob on guitar-GAIN-MASTER-GUITAR. I made a snapshot of what I like so far.

Your settings are practically the same as I use, although I have the mids around 12 o’clock. Great jazz guitar sound alright, like I said in my post above c 2020 it’s what sold me on the THR30 11.
Still use it daily.
Now I’m exploring the possibility of hooking it up to something like a Fender FRFR powered cabinet for jam sessions.
Anyone have any suggestions as to how successful that would be?
I just love that THR bass setting so much.
(BTW I’m thinking the “bass” setting is a take on the venerable Fender 4X10 Bassman amp. A friend parked his tweed Bassman at my place once for a few days and it was one of the best jazz guitar sound I’d ever heard…. too heavy for me now)
