This is my partscaster. Without the pickups, it was inexpensive. It has a '98 MIM neck and an unknown, light ash body, that I got for free. The body has a strat-style contour on the back. Pickups are Bardens. It has a 4-way switch. Have been playing the crap out of it since 2010. I love the feel of the neck: 9.5 radius, pretty slender.

17", sides between 2.5" and 2.75", scale 25.2", five- resp. seven-piece necks, laminated maple bodies, fully acoustic construction (though even a full-size floating humbucker will fit).
Some will never recognize their qualities, though these are not any longer regarded as "low end" archtop guitars by connaisseurs. Made by one of those old German master makers in the GDR before the workers' and peasants' authorities fully took over.
