You look physically more comfortable in this video. Is that a fair observation and if so, is the size and or the rim angle responsible for that?

I didn’t notice the smaller size took a minute to get used to but it’s very comfy in the hands.

Beautiful playing, and sound. I too noticed a look, or air, of comfort in the previous vid a few days ago appropo Jim´s comment above. Very nice!

Thank you! The “look” of comfort is very interesting as I didn’t really think about it as I get lost in the playing. You guys are right, but I wouldn’t have noticed even when listening back later Of course, this is all still just the first few days of having it, so it should only get better still.

. Yes! I was holding. The guitar like this for many years before I met up with John. We did many gigs together and people always asked about it

Very classical position if you ask me. I can't see one but I presume you're using a strap to keep the guitar at that steep angle?

yes, it’s classical but strapped in, and light leg contact too. There’s space between the back and my body so the back soundboard isn’t dampened.

I was hoping you were going to confess to using some other mechanism, as I can't stand straps. I could see you aren't using a Guitar Lift but I've been wondering lately if that contraption could be made to work with archback guitars.

The lift looks like a really good idea if you truly can’t stand a strap. Whatever it takes to keep these puppies holding still for 5 minutes.

I wasn't sure if Tom could make an even better sounding guitar than he already did, but now here we are. Wow.

I’m mighty thrilled with it! Experimenting with the recording a little too- here’s what it sounds like with more of the acoustic voice in the mix. Of course the strings have mellows a lot since the first few days.

You do it justice, Mark. What a great tone and dynamic response. It gave a-me a shiver of frisson. It really does sound like a topnotch classical guitar but with steel strings! I love it! If I find the money, I'll commission Tom Ribbecke to build one for me.

It must be great to be Mark Kleinhaut, great guitar player, owner of great Tom Ribbecke guitars.

PS I own a workshop-built Halfling from the Daniela Ribbecke Guitar Company.
