Quilter says the SB is as loud as a 25-watt tube amp. Well SB US users, do you agree? Is it as loud as a Deluxe Reverb?

Loudness depends a lot on speaker sensitivity. I have no access to a Deluxe Reverb for comparison, but with 97dB+ speakers the SBUS is quite loud, especially on the 57 Tweed voicing. Adding gain past 11 o'clock brings some hair but in a pleasant and manageable way.

I agree, it depends on the speaker. I do tend to run mine with the volume at about 3 o'clock, and the gain around 12, but I have the guitar volume way down, well below 50% for bedroom playing, because I think it sounds better there. But with the guitar volume full open it's very loud, way louder than I would want to play. I'm using a Toob Metro BG+ with it most of the time, which seems a little louder than my RE Stealth 10ER, but I've done no real measured comparisons. I have no meter to do any measurements, I'm just going by memory after using both at different times. I don't have a Deluxe to compare it to.

It is. It also has pretty much the same headroom as a Deluxe and a bit more than the CS PR. I use mine through a Toob Metro or a 10" Toob for blues gigs, and it holds its own at least as well as a standard Deluxe. It also has plenty of oomph through my RevSound RS8 cab and my RE 10. And it's an absolute tone monster through the Boogie / EVM Thiele cab.
I've never used it throught an open back cab, so I can't offer a direct comparison with a DR for overall sound. But my bandmates and I are very happy with my SBUS. It does the job as well as or better than any of the small Fenders I've had or used (BF Princeton, Princeton 2, BF Deluxe, Blues Junior). If the gig's not too big for a Deluxe, it's not too big for a SBUS unless you use a very inefficient speaker and a severely underwound SC pickup.

I've done some cab testing today, using SuperBlock US as the amp. An open-back Toob 12J loaded with a 12", 40W Jensen Blackbird was the loudest of the lot and sounded very articulate and balanced. How loud? With Volume almost maxed out and Gain at 3pm, my main test guitar, an EPI ES-339 Pro, started to feed back. Rare; an archtop would have turned into splinters.
