This "player guitar" as esteemed forum member called it playing thru Walter Woods Electro Acoustic amp and Wampler Ethereal pedal, all acquired from forum members. I surely wish my videos could have some of the aesthetics so many of you get with your AV, but i am consigned to do this through an android sitting on my desk. But i wanted to thank the sellers for how much I enjoy these sounds/instruments.Thanks, + Bless your Holiday!

Nice playing, stringmann. If I'm being critical, I'd say too much reverb, which prevents the natural sound of the guitar coming through. But some people love it that way, and presumably you do too. In either case I am very happy for you!

I admire your use of the finger-picking, I think it's very effective for the song. And nice playing along with the guitar! What is that song by the way?

I think part of what you're hearing is YouTube's built-in audio compression at work boosting the quiet parts of the signal a bit. Would be curious to hear how this sounds without compression.

    That an excellent guitar.
More importantly, it is an excellent guitar for the particular musician who is operating it!

Thanks for the comments guys, + to answer the questions. Yes i did get this from Sam (tnx Sam!)
also Rob tnx. No i am not one for heavy reverb (just a splash) but i think i got 'Wampled' trying this new pedal + failed to repent...
The song is (There's more to Love than) Making Love, by Burt Bacharach. Sung beautifully by Roberta Flack.

How does that work since Johnny Smiths are X braced? I get the front pickup but not the back? Also is the top thick enough to support the weight of the back pickup especially?

The pickups were installed before I got it.
The bracing was doubled-up, almost certainly at that time.

As you can tell, in the hands of a better player than me that guitar delivers the classic L5-CES sound!

Stringmann, that was GREAT! Excellent playing. The guitar sounds incredible. You’ve got some large hands there sir!
And they cover the neck wonderfully on your new guitar. I’m happy for you.
    Thanks for sharing.

High praise coming from one who plays so tenderly Joe, thank you. It does sound like some members of the board of elders think i could use some time at your video school to overcome my 'wampy-ness', so i'll work on it. (joke....)
