Not bad. Not bad at all. Someone on my FB timeline just bought this, a half size travel acoustic steel string guitar made of carbon fiber. It is a USB jack to power the internal preamp to allow for the acoustic sound to be heard more fully. $200 bucks. Not bad. (I’ll post a video review below).

Wow, for $200 I'm pretty much considering taking a jump on this and reviewing it.

Looks like there is a $189 and a $279 version. the $279 seems to be the one with the USB preamp.

Neck Dive is a problem with light bodies, so that's a thing to check for.

We have a brand called Snap Dragon in the UK, with a folding neck.

But, it has a standard 24 inch scale, 20 fret maple fingerboard

Maybe it's the video, but I think that sounds awful, basically like a plastic toy guitar. If that's representative, I wouldn't want one.

I disagree with John A. I've heard a lot worse. In demos, there's four factors at play: 1) the guitar, 2) the guitarist, 3) recording and 4) the rest of the signal chain to and from your computer/headphones. As for 1), no comments, 2) this guy isn't trying to impress us by virtuosity, 3) and 4) ???

A carbon fiber instrument at this price is hard to believe.

yeah, I think so. The guy even said he wouldn’t use it for performance or recording. But as a cheap, indestructible travel guitar, it’s not bad. The sound is passable for the purposes of practicing while traveling, or when you don’t have your regular gear.

I'm listening on decent sounding computer speakers, and just listened again. My opinion hasn't changed. It could just be the recording, but I wouldn't take the chance on it without trying one in person. I have nothing against carbon fibre guitars, though. I've tried a couple that I thought were quite good.

My “travel” setup is an Steinberger Spirit, ZT Lunchbox (higher wattage one, LB1?), a couple of pedals, and a one spot. I can laterally do anything with that setup. I did replace the Stein’s PUs with Bartolini PUs. All together it cost around a thousand. I did purchase used, except for the PUs. Anytime I go anywhere: teach, gig, jam: I have the choice to keep it simple, or I can bring other stuff.

Depending on the environment, the ZT can lack a sense of depth. Often there are ways to solve that problem.
