I've been looking for something that I could use to explore some new directions and after a lot of consideration and testing I decided to forego an archtop (my original thought) and go with a flat top acoustic instead. On Tuesday I should be taking delivery of a Martin GPC-11E. I'm looking forward to see whare I can go with it.

Ooh, nice. Im a big Martin fan, and they did a good job with these more "modern" guitars. Can't wait to hear what you do with it.

Martin is incredible. Over 100,000 hollow-body guitars in a good year, all great.

A friend just got one and brought it over to play....really sweet, I played it all night and didnt want to give it back.

The oldest of my 6 guitars is a Martin 000-28 I bought brand new in 1977.

I bought mine around then as well, but it's from 1946. Great size guitar and great sounding. Plus the previous owner put a cupid on it back in the hippy days, I never had the heart to take it off!

It's here. Getting comfortable with this is going to be a challenge but that's what I was after.
