Came across walkin jp and they have the AT105 models which seem modestly priced for a 175 clone, at least before shipping and all that. I read around about them and they seem fairly high quality (as most Japanese products are). I like the AT105M (which has a 2.5" depth as opposed to 3+") as I had an Epiphone 175 (not premium) and I remember the instrument being very deep. When I had a Pisano 880 I really liked the thinner body depth, as well.
Here's the product link: ホールド性抜群のミッドデプス・モデル! | WALKiN'
I guess I'm wondering what the testimonials are for Archtop Tribute guitars and these 175 copies? I see a scarce few threads on this here and some mentions elsewhere but not much. I also can hardly find videos on these models so trying to gauge what sound to expect is difficult.

There are at least 20 threads about Archtop Tribute guitars on JGO. Have you had a chance to check out any of them? There's a lot of wisdom and personal experience from folks who care enough to share. Enjoy!

Honestly I had a hard time finding any info on them. Was searching for "Archtop Tribute" and "AT105".

This should get you started:

Archtop Tribute AT 105J....so cute!

I too have had very little luck with the forum search. Usually I’ll get better results googling:

The links are very helpful! Read through all of them. Still kinda hard to find audio samples, but I suppose that might just be the nature of the beast at this time.

Not sure of how you have searched, but I have counted at least 20 YouTube videos of different Archtop Tribute guitars. I have tried several of these models in Tokyo and they were all great, not the least in their price/quality ratio. If you are interested, get in touch with Masaki. He knows his stuff. He is a Gibson boy.

I'm considering the same guitar (although going through their site, it appears to only be available right now in a natural or blond finish). I've also shared your frustrations with the search function. It's never worked right in all the years that I've been on this site but as noted entering *archtop tribute at105m* jazzguitar.be into google gets the job done.

What’s the difference between the 101, 105 and 175? Just the tailpiece and inlays?

The Archtop Tribute guitars are a classic example of Japanese craftsmanship, a friend of mine bought an AT-101 last year and I had a chance to try it, great playability, tone, it's all there; in my opinion, a notch above Peerless, and Eastman in quality and playability. However, they still don't have the recognition and popularity that those brands do, due in part to the fact that they don't have any distributors in the states or any other countries. In addition, they don't manufacture the volume of guitars that Eastman or Peerless do. One brand to lookout for is the Stanford guitars, they are a German company, although their guitar are made in China and sent back to Germany for inspection before the final shipping. Eastman guitars are also made in China, and we've seen some great stuff come out of there. The Stanford's all have a very competitive price with great quality, and tone, all seem to be all there. They're available on Reverb. A lot of guitar for the money... To be clear, I'm not comparing them to the Archtop Tribute, they're a notch above; but for the money, they seem to be a great choice, specially their 335 type model.

The Stanford made by Furch guitar in the top video is made in Czech Republic and not in China. Stanford than belonged to Furch . Now it's a german brand and guitars are made in china.
Furch sold very fine steelstrings in the US under the name Stonebridge for a while.

That's right, that's their top archtop model, I think that guitar and one more are the only ones made in the Czech Republic. I'm very familiar with Furch, I own a MC Yellow Series, and it's my main acoustic.

I have a Stringphonic L5 clone which, I'm pretty sure, is made in the same factory. It's a great guitar, no complaints at all about workmanship. I've heard nothing but good things about the AT guitars.
