I now have my first vintage Gibson (unless you count 1989). This delicious 1966 ES125TDC followed me home last month.

It's a player not a collector, with replaced bridge and tuners and I also think the P90s should have black covers, though these are definitely not new. (Did they ever have nickel covers??) That's all good though, because I am going to play the **** out of it.

Sounds superb through my '65 Blackface Champ, not quite so good through my Soldano Astroverb 16 and I'm going to get my Harmony H306a from storage in a few days to hear it through a blue-frame Jensen 12" speaker.

It does sound great with the other two amps and some stereo pedals, though.

    Yum yum!

It may be a player but it's a looker as well.

I think that's a sunburst tone? I don't recall seeing one quite that color. Looks a little faded, which to me just gives it more mojo.

Good find! I managed to snag a 1965 125TC a few months ago. Really excellent condition. Sounds like a Gibson through and through. I thought the P90 would be hummie. Dead quite. Kinda makes me think that humbuckers never should have been invented.

Sure is, I'll have to call it "Faded Love" now.

The back and sides are beautiful cherry.
