Been wanting one of these for several years...this one is Brock Burst, TBPUPS and i wanted Collings 'signature' fretboard markers, very light.

It is obviously inspired to a large degree by a very nice Les Paul...so I'm curious...do you see this as a super fine custom-built Les Paul, for is it voiced differently? Is it chambered, or solid mahogany with a maple cap like a Les Paul?
In any case, that appears to be just a super fine guitar. Congratulations, and enjoy!

I see it as a 'more modern' take on the LP - to me it doesn't 'replace' a LP if that's what you are after. I'm beyond blessed to have a couple of LP's so that was not my expectation. I see it as a 'more sophisticated' or 'modern' LP, or a LP style guitar with a build quality Gibson will never reach for even in its most expensive LP options.
You can get about any PUP you want in these - I went with their recommendation of ThroBak pups. I think they are great pickups and again with these guitars Collings will put what you request, with PUPs they offer or feel best suited. Not going to be something Gibson will offer. Solid Mahogany with Maple cap yes sir. Very light, 8 lbs.
