Hofner F.J. Sandner Jazzguitar Spruce maple, 17,5" – Max Guitar

Can’t find much about this model online and the description the store provided is um, well, rather minimal. Seems to be an interesting instrument. Among other things, the adjustable bridge caught my eye. If there’s more info on this guitar among the collective knowledge of this forum, then I’d appreciate it.

I’m sure Hammertone will weigh in, but I’d say this is a guitar made by Sandner, who is an independent luthier, and the only thing Hofner is the case. I owned a similar model by Sandner, 17”, slightly less fancy, and it was well-made and a good acoustic archtop. You can find Sandner guitars in Germany, particularly at Lui’s Guitar Garage and sometimes on Kleinanzeigen.

Cool old archtop built on a spare Höfner Model 468 or Committee body. Sandner cut the f-holes and made the neck. Standard Teller No 103 guitar bridge (as used by Höfner on a various models), standard ABM Model 1251N tailpiece (as used by Höfner on a couple of models).
