    Indeed, it is one I pick up and play without plugging in, along with my 1959 VOS ES175. The L5ces I love, but never play it unplugged.

    Very nice video and great playing! I have a 1996 ES175 that I really love. Thanks to good advice early on from Stringswinger!

    I have never tried earlier ones, but for sure the later post 2000 ones I played never spoke to me (though my L5 and Super 400 are post 2000 models). My 96 has a very nice slim neck and also a slim neck heel, probably the most comfortable neck of any guitar I have had honestly. Something about 90s era Gibsons. I guess that was a special time for their arch tops.
