I'd like to figure out what strings came on a guitar I recently purchased. I liked the feel of them, but they're too light gauge (11 on the high e).

They have a similar sheen to DD Chromes, are flat wound, all wound strings are silk wound at the ball end in black with brass eyelets. The headstock end of the wound strings are tapered and the flat winds go over the 'step' at the end of the string and wind all the way to the skinny tip of the string.

Anyone seen these before and might know what they are?

    Thanks!

Labella uses a silk wrap, but that can be removed especially if there were tailstop clearance issues. My first impression was "could be anything", but it's always kind of a ritual and adventure to find out what strings you feel are the best match for a guitar, a player and the strings that bring out the best of both.
OP, if you're going to own the guitar, set it up so it does the most for YOU.
Just suggesting that you can miss out on what the potential of the guitar is by assuming what was preferred by the previous player (or factory) is who you are and how you play.

Labella has like a purple silk wrap which these don't.I haven't tried Galli yet but i think that Quetango might be right in that those are Galli nylon wrapped strings.

LaBella has a purple wrap which indicates their superior tone and quality over other strings. Used in conjunction with gold hardware you can attain unbeatable sound quality from your favorite instrument. Look for the purple....

Labella makes very good flats for sure... But gold hardware will not affect the sound quality.
If danishbacon loves the strings he is showing us, he should look at those gali.
    Just a moment...

Different from the new labellas with the purple silk, which i love too

Gold makes any guitar sound better.
