    Hello,
Last June I spent three days in Long Island, recording my upcoming plectrum-style solo guitar album, "Out of the Blue".

The Archtop Foundation provided me with an amazing instrument: a D'Aquisto Centura Deluxe from the Scott Chinery's Collection.
It's an honor I hope to deserve!
Here's a short teaser, recorded during the session.
Please keep following me for more updates!

Fabio, it’s great that more people are exploring different styles on the archtop, and I have quite a few videos of non-jazz plectrum-guitar repertoire, and also books for Mel Bay with lute repertoire and Bach. I’m a great fan of the plectrum-guitar heritage in all styles, so I welcome your recording! I wish you all the best with it! Good luck.

    Fabio,
The guitar sounds like a piano!
And you’re playing.. oh my God.
I said on one of your other videos, you make me want to throw my guitars in the garbage!
    Great stuff.

Don't throw them in the garbage. Send them to me. I'll PM you my address.

Though I can't promise you they won't miss your touch.

Fabulous. Wonderful to hear Jimmy's guitar in such capable hands.

That reminds us that Bach's music is so beautiful no matter what instrument it's played on - provided it's played well of course, but here it is. Bach's "Air" has been played seemingly ad nauseam through the years but yet I still find it one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written (well, that could be the reason it's played so often). I would have linked to a version of it played by violinist Ivry Gitlis that I found on YouTube a couple of years ago but sadly it seems to have been taken down by now.

Interesting that you use Robert Fripp's Guitar Craft tuning on some of your pieces.

I add my appreciation to those above.

    Great playing and fascinating music!

Do you know Nigel Gavin who was on Robert Fripp's teaching team some time ago?
Nigel's a wonderful guitarist, an expat from USA living and working in New Zealand for many years.
