PS, Betz, I should have also mentioned that the Peerless and Ibanez do not have solid carved tops - they are laminates. Some prefer that for inset pickups. But you probably know this already.

Oh I am sorry to hear. It was/is i wonderful sounding guitar. I have two of Franz' guitars and your videos definitely played a big part in convincing me of their qualities.

I'm surprised to hear your Excalibur neck was chunky.The neck on mine is one of the thinnest necks i have and is super comfortable.It hardly requires any finger pressure to play which my aging hands greatly appreciate more often than not these days.
