I have been interested in a Buscarino Starlight for years, and even more so recently as I gravitate towards smaller and smaller archtops. I came across a deal on a used one online that was too great to pass up and pulled the trigger. It just got here yesterday so I am still learning its nuances, but so far it seems like a killer little workhorse guitar. It is insanely comfortable to play, and the workmanship is top notch. Just because this is a "budget" offering in the Buscarino catalog does not mean any corners were cut at all with the woods or craftsmanship.

With the smaller size and different construction it obviously does not have that classic traditional archtop tone, but it is an interesting modern tone with a hollowbody voice that I dig. Due to its size and construction it feels like playing a solid body. Interestingly enough, I typically hate coil taps but these sound really so good that I can actually see myself using them which would be a first for me. I put a picture up with it next to my Corey model to show the size difference. I can see this Starlight becoming a primary 1B gigging guitar for me along with the Corey which is my 1A, especially on gigs where some versatility is needed. I will get some video clips up soon.

Also - need to sell a guitar or two to pay for this one so keep an eye on the For Sale section of the forum ha

I'm noticing that the bridge pickup seems to be further from the bridge than a typical bridge pickup. Does that make it warmer?

PS looks awesome. I can get behind hollow teles with floating tailpieces.

It does seem a little warmer to my ears, I didn't notice that until you pointed it out.

Also - cannot get over how cool that tele is. Unreal.
