Replacing Ibanez GB10 Pickups?

anyone with a recent GB10 with the ceramic pickups ever replaced them with vintage style alnico 5 mini humbuckers ? Will the gibson reissues fit in the existing housing?

Jack, I think Pete at Vintage Vibe will take them apart and rewind them anyway you want. If I ever find a GB10 I can afford, that'll probably be my route. I have limited experience with these guitars but remember that it had the best neck I ever played in my life....ever......and I thought the neck pickup was OK but hated the bridge pickup. I also think it would be neat to have a single pickup version with a CC or set in HB in the neck but doubt that'll happen.

I love the gibson pickups. Assuming the screw holes line up with the dimarzios, I'll just get a set of LP Deluxe pickups. You can get them new for about $260.

At that point I found that this (sending the microphone to Kent Armstrong to be rewound) was a very good solution!
