Hi,
I thought maybe some pickups afficionados will be able to tell more about 1990 gibson pickups, these ones particularly been fitted in ES-175, my guess Tim Shaws?
Thanks

I thought these are Shaws as well, but I don't really know much about them. Nice blonde!

Those are Tim Shaw paf pickups. The serial number is identical to the ones in my '89 ES175 pictured in my avatar.
Great sounding pickups!

Shaws were made from about 1980 to 1987. After that, there was an interim PAF style humbucker (a 57 classic prototype if you will) that Gibson used (along with the 490R/490T) until the early 90's when the 57 classic was introduced. Most likely, that is what these are. If you take off the cover and see poly wire, it is a leftover Shaw, if you see enamel wire, it is the 57 classic prototype. HTH
