He let Julius sit in for a tune. Emmet played most of the stream. He has weekly livestreams going back to the start of the pandemic, and there isn't a single bad one that I've seen. He and his trio are top-notch, and he has had the top NYC musicians on. It's worth the price of admission every week.

I think the point was that a floater is designed to not interfere with the vibration of the top. Would not be a big issue if the top is laminate, but might have significant impact on a carved solid top. A pair of knobs bolted into a solid top would likewise interfere with the vibrations.
